Immigration Story

This week Simon's mother came into class to talk to us about her migration story from Ecuador to Toronto, Canada. Having someone able to tell what it was like in their own words and what it felt like to arrive in a new country not knowing the language, customs, and culture gave a more meaningful and in- depth understand of the challenges migrants face. The class was certainly curious as this week the Syrian migration crisis brought up many more questions on the effects that migration has on people and the countries that they move to.
